The Perfect Gift

posted by Esprit Photography    |   December 30, 2011 15:10

There is that perfect gift you can give someone that can’t be any more thoughtful or perfect. There are moments in your life that a perfectly timed word of encouragement, hug or a smile, or thoughtful gift that means more to you than words can say…

This year was the year that Grandad passed away. He lived a long, happy and fulfilled life. He made everyone smile around him. He was full of life and everyone loved Grandad to pieces. That smile you see on his face…that’s how he made everyone feel around him. He made you smile from ear to ear.

After the tears and sadness of missing them its time for that smile to reappear…a time to remember the good times with him, the laughs and smiles, the stories told. I came across a photo of Grandad the way we all remembered him. This is the smile that we all love and know. This photo – beautifully framed was what I gave my Mom and Grandma this year for Christmas. I saved it for last knowing the emotion it would bring and emotion it did bring! Tears flowed as we embraced. The room was silent as we waited for someone to say something. The tears were good tears and although it sounds sad that I chose to give the gift of tears for Christmas; it wasn’t just tears…the tears were just for a moment and what occurred next was a beautiful thing. We were all able to talk about Grandad and smile and laugh and tell stories of how wonderful and full our life was because of him. The beautifully framed image brought memories that no other gift could have given. It was that perfect gift that you can’t wait to share – that gift that you are more excited to share than any gift you could receive. I couldn’t have been happier to share that gift I was able to give. A picture is worth a thousand words…sure. It’s worth a thousand memories too. How wonderful to be able to share that with people you love!!!

It has been an amazing year at Esprit Photography! What an honor it has been to capture your precious moments for your families and friends! It has been wonderful to meet so many new people, and to make so many new friends! As we do each photo session, I find that I learn about you and your families, and share in your traditions and the favorite things you love to do as families. I get to capture those moments for you, and I can tell you that I get so much joy from that. I get to step into your world and be a part of your family time, and I love it. I love that I get to laugh and play and run in wheat fields or a forest or a back ally and share in your fun times. I love to see the look on people's faces when they see the images, and I get to make you smile, laugh, or even cry at the moments captured. I want to thank every one of you for making my job so grand, so amazing, so fun and so rewarding! Without you, my amazing clients, I wouldn't be doing this amazing job that I get so much satisfaction from! I am honored to step into your world, and become your friend.

I hope you all have a very, very Merry Christmas, and may 2012 be the most amazing year of your lives! May this year be full of many many precious moments captured!

Here's to you for the amazing people that you are!

Inspiring Youth For Success Portrait Session

posted by Esprit Photography    |   December 12, 2011 19:41

We were thrilled when Christine Ginter from "Inspiring Youth For Success" contacted us to do the photos for her album artwork. She is such an inspiration to everyone around her - including me! Always a smile on her face, and seeing the good in everyone around her. It's no wonder her new ventures are completely taking off! She was recently on 100 Huntley Street to share her story and you can watch the episode as she tells her story in her own words. It's worth checking out her website here, if you want to see how she inspires youth! I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Christine Ginter, singer, songwriter and teacher, is propelling her vision to educate and inspire youth through the recent inception of "Inspiring Youth For Success".

Currently authoring her first book "Yesterday, Today and Forever", Christine's desire is to appraise Aboriginal youth about their heritage and their potential by amassing a collection of inspiring success stories from Aboriginal people throughout Canada. Some of the individuals interviewed include Gordon Tootoosis, Donny Parenteau, Andrea Menard, Michael Linklater, Kendal Netmaker, Michelle Thrush, Richard Pilon, and more.

In addition, Christine's passion for music has resulted in the writing and composing of her first recorded album entitled "Made For More". Christine has collaborated with various Aboriginal and non Aboriginal artists from around the country to create this music project. The genre is Pop, and each song contains a positive message. "Each song contains a positive message and my hope is that each song will inspire each listener". The album is dedicated to youth. "My Hero" was a surprise to her Mom and was written specifically for her. "As a child, I always dreamt about recording my own album, so this is a dream come true to be able to share this gift with you. Therefore, it goes to show that truly anything is possible!"

Christine - You truly are an inspiration to those people around you. I am so glad that I have come to know you, and to be a part of the great work you are doing. You. go. girl!
